This collection of authentic hadiths can be briefly defined as a book of enhancing morals, mannerliness, encouraging goodness, and warning against the evil. This work consists of the wisdom of the noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, setting the criteria about the manners to be observed by individuals. Since the time it was published, Riyad as-Salihin has been a must read on the way to deepening in Islamic teaching.

Beautiful edition, sure and verified, with chain of transmission going up to Imam al-Bukhari. This is very important because the science of Hadith is a science of transmission, and this edition comes from this methodology.

Among the works of sahihs after the Sahih of Imam Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is Sahih of Ibn Khuzaymah, he died 311 Hirji. Much of Ibn Khuzaymahs sahih went missing (perhaps 3/4 of it) after his death. Ibn Hajar (852 Hijri) states that he only came across of it. However it is generally accepted that Ibn Khuzaymah was not as particular as Bukhari and Muslim, but the general rule is that it is authentic but not 100%.

Zawa'id Rijal Sahih ibn Hibban is one for the re-worked hadith collections that has been authored by the famous Hadith scholar Ibn Hibban. In the original book, Ibn Hibban tried to collect -just like Al Hakim- all the narrations that were not mentioned in the respective sahihs of Imam Bukhari and Muslim. Ibn Hibban's collection contains 2647 hadiths that do not appear in the collections of Bukhari or Muslim, and these are published in legal order in the book Zawa'id Rijal Sahih ibn Hibban by Yahya ibn 'Abdullah al-Shahri

The Sunan of Imam Abu Dawood, one of six mothers books of the hadith. 

Sunan Abi Dawud is a collection of hadith compiled by Imam Abu Dawud Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath as-Sijistani. It is widely considered to be among the six canonical collections of hadith (Kutub as-Sittah) of the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ). It consists of 5274 ahadith in 43 books.

Sharh Sunan al-Nasa'i is an excellent edition of Muhammad al-Walawi commentaries.

It is a Sunan Book in history of Hadith collection. A book with such importance that nothing of its like has been penned down. It is compiled in a fiqh order. The author takes quite an effort in providing narrations in each chapter thereby giving the rulings of such transmissions and how certain scholars have understood it. He also expounds the problematic phrases and or terminologies that might cause misinterpretation as well as those that might seemingly portray contradictions. Many scholars have said that no such work has been penned down like the Sunan al-Saghir

The Sunan of Imam Ibn Majah, one of six mothers books of the hadith.

Jami' al-'Ulum wa al-Hikam is the masterwork of Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, the Jami’ al-‘ulum wa’l-hikam, which is his commentary on fifty hadith including the Forty of Imaam an-Nawawi. Every hadith is one of those considered by the ‘ulama essential for knowledge of the deen. The topics range from the most exacting treatments of the affairs of the shari’ah to luminous expositions of the spiritual sciences of Islam.

This is the explanation of a book summarized in the science of hadith, written by Imam ibn Kathir, called Ikhtisar Ulum al-Hadith.

The Sharh is that of Shaykh Ahmad Shakir, muhaddith recognized in the early 20th century. This Sharh is greatly appreciated and recommended.

This book contains an introduction and biography of Imam Nawawi, thereafter the explanation of the text following the theme Imam Nawawi set in compiling this text. Then they follow the method of transmitting where these ahadith are found. After this the linguistic of the Hadith is explained. Some of the benefits of the Hadith is followed up with juristic application.

Imam Ibn Hajr al-Asqalani said, "This is a concise book comprising the hadeeth evidence sources of the Sharee'ah which I have compiled meticulously so that one who memorises it excels among his peers, it may assist the beginner student and the learned one seeking more knowledge may find it indispensable." The book contains 1358 ahaadeeth, a comprehensive glossary of arabic terms, and brief biographies of many famous scholars.

One of the greatest compilations of the sunnah and books of hadith is the Musnad by Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, which is organized into compilations of the hadiths narrated by each Companion (Sahabi), starting with the 'asharah mubashsharah ("the ten who were promised Paradise"). This highlights their status and the efforts they made to preserve the ahadeeth of the Messenger of Allah.

The scholars and muhadditheen praised the Musnad of Imam Ahmad. Al-Hafiz Abu Moosa al-Madeeni wrote a book in which he highlighted the great features of the Musnad. In his book he said: "This book is an important source and trustworthy reference for the scholars of hadeeth, as he (Imam Ahmad) selected from the large number of hadith he came across and the plentiful reports he heard, and he put a great deal of effort into making it a prominent, leading and reliable source. When disputing an issue, it is a refuge and a source of help." 

Abū ʿAwāna, Yaʿqūb b. Isḥāq Ibrāhīm b. Yazīd al-Isfarāyinī (after 230/845–316/928) was a Shāfiʿī muḥaddith (traditionist) and faqīh (jurist). In order to hear and learn ḥadīth, he travelled to different parts of Iran, Iraq, Ḥijāz, Yemen, Egypt and Syria (Abū ʿAwāna, 1/344, 4/38, ff.; al-Samʿānī, 1/223–224; al-Dhahabī, Siyar, 14/417–419).

Abū ʿAwāna apparently returned to Isfarāyin after his time in Egypt (see Ibn Khallikān, 6/394). In his Musnad, Abū ʿAwāna mentions his shaykhs and teachers such as his father, Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm, as well as Muslim b. al-Ḥajjāj.

This book is about the branches of faith (Shu'ayb Al-Iman) Imam Bayhaqi mentioned that   Iman’ refers to faith, belief, creed and doctrine in religious terminology. It has numerous branches or parts to it and these are known as ‘Shu’b al Iman’ (Branches of Faith). The Hadiths of beloved RasulAllah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) mention numerous such branches, and accordingly, Iman has more than 70 branches.

A Great Collection of Fabricated Traditions is a collection of fabricated hadith collected by Abu'l-Faraj ibn al-Jawzi

Commentary on selected Ahadith written by Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali. He was the noble Imam, the Haafidh, the Critic, Zayn-ud-Deen ‘Abdur-Rahmaan bin Ahmad bin ‘Abdir-Rahmaan bin al-Hasan bin Muhammad bin Abil-Barakaat Mas’ood As-Salaamee Al-Baghdaadee (due to his place of birth), Al-Hanbalee (due to his madh-hab), Ad-Dimashqee (due to his place of residence and death). His kunyah was Abul-Faraj, and his nickname was Ibn Rajab, which was the nickname of his grandfather who was born in that month (of Rajab).

Subul as-Salam is the Sharh of the famous collection of fiqh Buloogh al-Maram, may be the best and most well known and recommended by scholars, written by Sheikh as-San'aani (1182H).

The Book of al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar fi Takhrij Ma fi al-Ihya' min al-Akhbar is a work of al-Hafidz al-Iraqi, which describes the takhrij and status of the hadith and its origin in al-Ihya` the work of Hujjatul Islam al -Ghazali. al-'Allamah al-Zabidi mentions that al-'Iraqi initially wrote it in large volumes in 751 H. Then he summarized it in one volume. (see, al-Ithaf, 1/41)

This takriri is also included in most of the well-circulated Book of al-Ihya` at this time.

Book written on the Musnad of the great Sahabi Abu Hurayrah by Abi 'Abdillah 'Abd al-Salamah

It contains 3,956 Ahadith, and has been divided into fifty chapters. It is also classified as a Sunan, which implies that the book has been chapterised according to legal chapters, such as Purification, Prayer, Poor-due and Fasting, narrated on the authority of Islamic prophet Muhammad, while the opinions of the companions are usually not mentioned. Tirmidhi's method was that of placing the heading first, then mentioning one or two Ahadith which were related to the heading. These Ahadith are followed by his opinion as to the status of the Hadith. Subsequently, he mentions the opinions of the different jurists. He also indicates if there were other narrations transmitted by other companions on the same subject. His principal aim was to discuss the legal opinions of early jurists. Tirmidhi mostly mentioned those Ahadith which the jurists used as the basis for their legal decisions and he mentioned which school used which tradition/s. Hence this book became an important source for the different view-points of the various legal schools. The Jami' thus bears the distinction of being one of the oldest texts dealing with the difference of opinion amongst the various jurisprudential schools. Although Shafi'i (b. 150-d.204 A.H.) wrote his Kitab al-Umm before Tirmidhi's Jami', the Kitab al-Umm is less comprehensive in comparison to the Jami' of Tirmidhi.

This is the first book written on a specific area of the science of the hadith, but nevertheless very important, the Mudraj, by the great Imam Muhaddith, al-Hafidh al-Khatib al-Baghdadi. The hadiths mudarraj are those in which a narrator has introduced a remark or speech in addition. It is a high degree of the science of the hadith reserved for the most experienced Muhaddith, as are certain kinds of 'illa, irregularity.

Al-Khatib al-Baghdaadi wrote dozens of books on the sciences of the hadith, be it musnad, books of mustalah, Adab of Muhaddith or Talib, or on narrators.

Al-Fasl lil-Wasl is a must in his field, and he is presented here with a high quality Tahqiq which is the result of a PhD thesis. There is a long introduction to the author, the book and the topic, precious annotations and a very comprehensive research summary (verses, hadiths & athars, names, subjects)

Commentary on the canonical works of Hadith.

l-Suyuti was born on 3 October 1445 AD (1 Rajab 849 AH) in Cairo, Egypt. His mother was Circassian and his father was of Persian origin, while Al-Suyuti says that his ancestors came from Al-Khudayriyya in Baghdad. His family moved to Asyut in Mamluk Egypt, hence the nisba "Al-Suyuti". Al-Suyuti's father taught Shafi'i law at the Mosque and Khanqah of Shaykhu in Cairo, but died when Al-Suyuti was 5 or 6 years old.

Al-Suyuti studied various subjects, including: Shafi'i and Hanafi jurisprudence (fiqh), traditions (hadith), exegesis (tafsir), theology, history, rhetoric, philosophy, philology, arithmetic, timekeeping (miqat) and medicine. He started teaching Shafi'i jurisprudence at the age of 18, at the same mosque as his father did. In 1486, Sultan Qaitbay appointed Al-Suyuti shaykh at the Khanqah of Baybars II, a Sufi lodge. Al-Suyuti himself was a Sufi of the Shadhili order.

At one point, Al-Suyuti was named the mujaddid of the 9th century AH. He also claimed to have become a mujtahid (someone with the authority to personally interpret sources in order to give legal statements) in jurisprudence, hadith studies, and Arabic language. This caused friction with scholars and ruling officials, and after a quarrel over the finances of the Sufi lodge, he retreated to the island of Rawda in 1501. Al-Suyuti died on 18 October 1505.

In the introduction of Masabih al-Sunnah, al-Baghawi outlines the aims and objectives for his compiling this work. He was particularly interested in compiling a work that would include such Ahadith that could serve as a guide for Muslims in those matters of which the Qur'an is silent upon. The reason for his omitting to mention the chain of narrators of the Ahadith may be attributed to the trust he had in the muhaddithun (scholars of Hadith) from whose works he extrapolated these selected Ahadith. Omission of the isnad meant the saving of space and that could have been another plausible factor.

‘Abd al-Razzaq ibn Hammam ibn Nafi’ al-San'ani was a Muslim scholar from San'a in Yemen with purportedly Persian origins who specialised in the Science of hadith.

Among the most beneficial commentaries of Riyad al-Salihin. The author, Imam Muhammad ibn 'Allan al-Shafi'i was born in Makkah in 996 (AH) He authored more than 60 books, including a commentary of Imam al-Nawawi's Al-Adhkar. He was among the great Hadith scholars of his time. He passed away in 1057 (AH). Edited by Isam al-Din al-Sababti

Explanation of Sahih al-Bukhari written by 'Abd al-Salam Harun in 2 volumes

This work has been edited and published by numerous scholars and publishers throughout the centuries with perhaps wrong title, confusing it as a commentary of his other smaller work; al-Imam fi Ma'rifat al-Ahadith al-Ahkam. It is obviously not the case as the author does not stipulate himself whether this is what he intended.

In this unique work the author compiles the book in a fiqh fashion with its chapters commencing at-Tahara. He fellows the following method
- He mentions a Hadith then proceeds to the collectors as well as their transmitters, be they the companions and those that followed.
- Then he mentions the strength of the Hadith.
- Sometimes he will mention why he chose that specific Hadith and its reasoning.
- He will then explain or clarify slightly about difficult wordings in the mentioned Hadith.
- Sometimes he will also delve in to the Arabic lexicon and or grammar structure of certain wording.  
- The learned lessons and or beneficial aspects of the Hadith.
- Much of his peers and other scholars opinions will be covered in the chosen Hadith.
- He deduces the opinions of the Madhahib then proceeds to explain certain positions.
 

All in all, this is immense work that has was left uncompleted by the Imam reaching up to the Chapter of Wudhu and its conditions. This entire five volumes is basically only the Tahara.
